The People of Four Winds Haven

Our dream of Four Winds Haven came about after we adopted our first dog. We had spoken briefly of having a small homestead someday, but poor reactive Zephyr brought a new light to the idea. Zephyr quickly became the absolute love of our lives. But he struggled with walkers coming by the house, strange noises, and his stress made otherwise fun outings hard for him and for us. While he still enjoyed hiking and things of that nature, we dreamed of a life for him where he had a huge fenced yard to run in, set far enough back that he wasn’t bothered by people walking by, with plenty of space to explore on leash.

Four Winds Haven is intended to be a place of peace, harmony, a way to live sustainably with the animals and places around us. A way to insulate us from the craziness of everything else. A place to honor our partners in this world.

The building of the Haven is, I anticipate, a long process. I hope you’ll join us on the journey.
